| I have spent the past three and a half years working as a Field Data Collector for Tele Atlas, the worldwide leader of digital map technology. We have been working on projects that will better the turn-by-turn navigation systems for in-car and online systems. Also, I have a partnership with SIUC Alumni, Karl Schneiter '84. Our small business, Gateway Geospatial, does local field data collection in the St. Louis Metro and Metro east area. Gateway Geospatials tracked and mapped the spread of West Nile Virus across St. Clair County, Illinois. Information on where animals have been found dead and how they tested was provided for use by municipalities as well as for producing maps for local companies. Stephen Santner class of 2000. | ||
