Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Research is the hands-on process of discovering new knowledge and creating new interpretations of the world around us.  For undergraduates at SIUC, it means working one-on-one with faculty and graduate students in laboratories, studios, and libraries, on campus and in the field.  A listing of the various programs can be found at http://reach.siuc.edu/funding.html and through the REACH (Research-Enriched Academic Challenge) office.

Through the Undergraduate Assistantship program, Dr. Justin Schoof worked with undergraduate Justin Hassler on a project to provide a NCEP/NCAR reanalysis visualization page that can be used for exploratory and educational purposes. Justin Hassler completed the project during the Spring, 2007 semester.
